About the winemaker
Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père et Fils is one of the oldest wineries in Burgundy. A winery with a long history and an impressive acreage of vineyards. With 130 hectares of its own vineyards spread over 12 Grand Cru's and 74(!) premier cru's among others, winemaker Frédéric Weber has access to a unique terroir. As of the 2020 vintage, the vineyards are in conversion to organic viticulture and with this, the winery is sending a great signal in the Burgundy wine region. Many vineyards were already farmed organically, but the certification will follow in 2024. Montrachet, Corton-Charlemagne, Chevalier-Montrachet, Beaune Grèves Vignes de l'Enfant Jésus, Bonnes-Mares, Meursault Perrières are some of the prestigious vineyards that belong to the vineyard estate.
