Domaine Boyer-Martenot | France | Bourgogne - Côte de Beaune |
Vineyard | The lieu-dits Tillets and Narvaux actually have similar characteristics in terms of soil structure, but the major difference is location. Tillets enjoys a more southerly exposition and thus the vineyard has slightly more sunlight. The name of the vineyard refers to the time when this part of the hill was home to many lime trees. These had the name Tille Tillet Or. |

Vinification | At Boyer-Martenot, all grapes are hand-picked and, once received in the cellar, pressed with a pneumatic press. Fermentation is temperature controlled and the upbringing is on 225-liter wooden casks and on concrete eggs. One third of these barrels are new and in total there is a 20 month lagering period.
