About the winemaker Tenute Cisa Asinari di Marchesi di Gresy has been the wine estate of the di Gresy family since 1797. The various possessions can be found in the heart of Piemonte. By far the most important asset is Martinenga, the only “monopole” in Barbaresco. In the middle of this beautiful vineyard is the winery, where the wines are raised. Two Grand Crus can be found within the Martinenga vineyard; Gaiun and Camp Gros. Top terroir that forms the basis for two impressive wines. Other family possessions include: Monte Aribaldo, 2 kilometers from Martinenga, home to chardonnay, sauvignon and dolcetto. La Serra is home to 11 hectares of vineyards and is home to moscato, barbera and merlot. The fourth and last possession is Monte Colombo which is next to La Serra. Barbera and Merlot are grown on the 2.5 hectares of vineyard. Winemaker Jeff Chilcott is originally from New Zealand and is an absolute connoisseur of the Nebbiolo grape. He has been associated with the domain for about 20 years and he knows the vineyards like no other. Vineyard	Unique wine from a unique vineyard. The Martinenga vineyard is almost 12 hectares and fully owned by the di Gresy family. The south-southwest location at 220 to 290 meters above sea level, like an amphitheatre, produces unique wines. Gaiun is a south-facing plot on the western side of the amphitheater.
Vinification	After a peel soak of 8 to 10 days, the alcoholic fermentation is followed by the malolactic The wine matures for 28 months in French barriques. This is followed by bottle aging in the cellars of the domain.
