About the winemaker

This is the project of two “sorres” (the Sardinian dialect word for ‘sisters’) making authentic wine in Sardinia. For Laura and Delia producing wine is above all a tradition that was passed on to them. They watched their grandfathers struggle on the land do, then their fathers and now their turn has come. They have now realized their own project on the land that they inherited from their grandfather. The vineyard overlooks the area surrounding the Gulf of Asinara. The sisters truly believe that quality wine is made primarily in the vineyard. This is why they use sustainable agriculture methods, respecting the soil and ensuring low environmental impact through rational use of natural resources. Their organic wines provide a defined expression of the Romangia land in Sennori, Northwest Sardinia in which they were born. Unique and authentic, they are a result of a process that respects nature and identity from grape to glass, truly reflecting the specificity of the Mediterranean landscape, the potential of the old indigenous vines and the purity of the volcanic terroir.

Vineyard

The vineyard for this wine is located in the Sennori countryside, in the northwest of Sardinia, and overlooks the beautiful setting of the Asinara Gulf, at an altitude between 250 and 350 meters above sea level. The soil here mainly consists of clay and limestone. The vines are in Guyot (bush vines), the yield is about 65 hl/ha.

Vinification

After the manual harvest, the grapes undergo a maceration on the skins for 6/7 days at a controlled temperature, followed by gentle pressing with an air press and fermentation. Aging in stainless steel drums.
