Savage Wines | South Africa | Darling |
Vineyard | Duncan Savage selected the fruit from the vineyards of his close friend Boetie van Reenen who sadly passed away in 2018 due to a tragic accident. The vineyards were planted in Boetie's birth year (1981) and can be found in Darling. The grapes are hand-picked. |

Vinification | After harvest, the grapes are fermented and aged in new and old large wooden barrels of French oak. 50% of the grapes were fermented as a whole-bunch. There is minimal intervention during vinification, to allow as much terroir as possible to be reflected in the wines. |
