The Sadie Family Wines | South Africa | Swartland |
Vineyard | Vineyard located on Dirk Brand's rooibos and wheat farm. This is the most isolated vineyard in the country and was planted to make our own wine. The vineyard is 1.4 acres and planted between 1900 and 1928. All the vines are pre-phylloxera and the vines are planted criss-cross. As a result, it is a fieldblend. The vineyard is not irrigated and no herbicides or pesticides have ever been used in the vineyard. |

Vinification | Grapes from the vineyards are pressed and vinified together and after pressing, go directly into old wooden barrels. After 12 months, bottling takes place. The wine is neither clarified nor filtered and is best decanted before drinking. Yield was 13 hl/ha. |
