About the winemaker
Nicolas Maillart was born and raised in the Champagne region and after studying oenology he chose to take over the family estate in Ecueil. This makes him the ninth generation in the family estate whose vineyards can be found on the Montagne de Reims. Nicolas cultivates these vineyards in a traditional way without using pesticides or herbicides and he attaches great importance to biodiversity. Vinification of the wines for his champagnes takes place both on barrigues and in stainless steel vats. Each of the champagnes are unique and true vinous works of art. Some champagnes are made without the addition of sulfite.
