Château des Tours
Château des ToursProbably one of the finest Vacqueras' that is made. The composition of the grapes is 80% grenache and 20% syrah. As with the Côtes du Rhône, large casks are used. In the aroma, notes of candied red fruit, cherries and herbs. The taste is quite rich with silky tannins and an impressive long aftertaste.

About the winemaker
The Chateau des Tours is located in Sarrians and was purchased by Louis Reynaud between 1935 and 1938. Louis Reynaud was the second generation in the Reynaud dynasty. He left the Château des Tours to his son Bernard. This one had the responsibility of the Château until Emmanuel Reynaud stepped in. This was in the early 1980s. With the arrival of Emmanuel many things changed. No longer selling the grapes to the cooperative, he built his own cuverie and started making wines in the style he learned from his uncle Jacques Reynaud at Château Rayas.
