About the winemaker In the village of Monthélie, Fabrice Grousin waves the scepter at the very small Domaine Changarnier. In this neighboring village of Meursault, he has a magnificent cellar and a beautiful acreage of vineyards at his disposal. Not only in its own appellation of origin, but also in Meursault and Pommard, the domain has holdings. Fabrice has switched to biodynamic viticulture since 2012.

Vineyard	This vineyard is only 0.47 hectares and planted in 1966. Annually it produces a maximum of 2,200 bottles. The soil consists mainly of calcareous marl. The vineyard leans against the Pièrrefitte vineyard of the Volnay appellation.
Vinification	In the cellar of Changarnier, the wines are made according to traditional vinification methods. All wines reside in French oak barrels, for the premier cru's slightly more new oak (about 30%) is used. For this wine, about 30% of the barrels were new and the grapes were destemmed after entry. The first fermentation took place on concrete for 3 months. After this an upbringing in oak for 10 months.
