| Vineyard | The fruit for this wine comes from a north-facing vineyard high in the Hemel-and-Earth Valley. The soil is quite poor and has a lot of clay-rich and stony character with Bokkeveld shale. |

| Vinification | After harvest, the grapes are pressed in a basket press and this is followed by fermentation in oak. Malolactic fermentation is complete and oak ageing is as follows: 25% new barrels, 25% second year and the rest is third year. The total upbringing is 11 months. Only 9000 bottles produced. |
