About the winemaker The Lamy-Pillot estate is a family estate, located on the outskirts of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet. The family has a total of about 20 hectares at its disposal, located in appellations such as Meursault, Saint Aubin, Chassagne and Santenay. Thus, the family can supply wines from 30 different appellations. Naturally, the red wines come from the noble Pinot Noir and the elegant mineralic white wines from the Chardonnay grape. The winemaking style is characterized by a dosed and supportive use of wood. The mineral notes of the beautiful terroir are not buried under massive use of wood and the fruit comes out beautifully in all cuvées.

Vineyard	The various vineyards are located in the village of Saint Aubin and the much more famous Chassagne-Montrachet. In total they are three vineyards of 150 acres, which were planted in 1970 and 1979. This gives an annual production of up to 6,000 bottles. The soil consists of marl-rich limestone and is very permeable.
Vinification	At Lamy-Pillot, a classic red winemaking process is used, with malolactic fermentation taking place in oak barrels. With this wine, there is also a portion raised on large cuves. The ageing varies by year from 12 to 18 months.
