About the winemaker In the 1930s, Daniele Venica started this domain. Together with son Adelchi, he built up the domain and then passed it on to the next generations in the family. The domain is now under the leadership of the fourth generation. Giampaolo Venica has access to over 32 hectares of vineyards in the eastern part of Friuli, on the border with Slovenia.

Details

Vineyard	Coming from the Jésera vineyard which is located in the DOC Collio. The planting here is 7000 vines per hectare.
Vinification	After harvest, the grapes are completely destemmed. The must is then left in contact with the skins for 4 to 8 hours, allowing the wine to develop its copper color. 10% of the wine stays on the lie in large wooden barrels for 5 months. The rest of the wine stays entirely in stainless steel barrels.
