Vignoble des Cabottes
Fréderic Weber
Founded in 2025 and part of Artémis Domaines, Vignoble des Cabottes is one of the newest wineries in Burgundy. With 35 hectares of vineyards, divided into, among others, 10 hectares of Grand Crus and 22 hectares of Premier Crus, winemaker Frédéric Weber has access to a unique terroir. It encompasses some of Burgundy's most prestigious vineyards, including the Grands Crus of Puligny-Montrachet and the Corton hill, the most important Premiers Crus of Meursault, Volnay Premier Cru Les Caillerets, as well as the most celebrated climats of the Beaune appellation, the famous Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus. The wines are vinified at the Chateau de Puligny in the heart of Burgundy's greatest terroirs.
Frédéric Weber
Frédéric was born in Alsace and grew up in a winemaking family. After internships in Champagne and the Rhône Valley, he obtained a master's degree in agriculture and oenology at the Jules Guyot Institute in Dijon. In 2002, he joined Bouchard Père & Fils, subsequently being promoted to Cellar Master of this prestigious estate in 2013, a position he held until 2025. From the 2023 vintage onwards, he is responsible for the vinification of all wines at Vignoble des Cabottes. Here, he has access to a modern cellar and a remarkable area of vineyards.

Burgundy wines
In fact, the Burgundy wine region consists of six different areas. The most northerly is Chablis where only white wines are made on the unique chalk soils. The Côte de Nuits can be found between Dijon and Beaune, a sub-region where mainly red wines are made. Here you can find Grand Crus such as Vlos de Vougeot, Echézeaux and Mazis-Chambertin. Between Beaune and Chalon-sur-Saone lies the Côte de Beaune. A region where both white and red are made, but the white wines from villages such as Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet have almost reached cult status. Chalonnais begins south of Chassagne-Montrachet, an area with villages such as Rully and Mercurey. Here wines are made with a wonderful price-quality ratio. The most famous white wines from the south in Burgundy, the Maconnais, bear names such as Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Mâcon. A little further south is the Beaujolais, also part of Burgundy. No pinot noir here, but gamay for the red wines.
