About the winemaker The Domaine Henri Boillot was created in 1885 and since 1975 the grandson of the founder has been at the helm. He also founded the négoce in 1995 and propelled the domain to great heights. Since 2008, Henri's son, Guillaume, has been involved in the domain. At first, Guillaume only had responsibility for the vineyards, but since 2019 he is also fully responsible for the vinification of all wines. This puts the next generation at the head of this wonderful wine estate. With vineyards in Volnay, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault and every year as a négociant the disposal of several Grand Cru's like Clos de Vougeot, Latricières-Chambertin, Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Le Montrachet and many other appellations, it is a unique domain that belongs to the top of Burgundy.

Vineyard	The premier cru Les Frémiets of Henri Boillot has a soil, which consists mainly of calcareous marl rock. The vineyard was planted in 1964 and has a planting density of 10,000 vines per hectare.
Vinification	At Henri Boillot, a classic red wine-making process is used, with malolactic fermentation taking place in wooden casks. Of these, 50% are new and all are French oak. The ageing varies by vineyard and vintage from 12 to 18 months.
