About the winemaker
Peggy and Jean-Pascal Buronfosse moved to Jean-François Ganevat's village of La Combe de Rotalier in 1999 after wanting to leave city life behind. They wanted to live in a rural setting, where they could grow their own vegetables and raise chickens, rabbits and pigs. Originally, their dream was to have a farm, but gradually viticulture piqued their curiosity. They realized that they wanted to grow their food as well as their wine. After acquiring several small vineyard plots, they began to produce wine through trial and error, but also with some guidance from Monsieur Ganevat. Today, Jean-Pascal has certainly found his way. This domain is now counted among the top winemakers in the Jura. However, due to the minuscule vineyard holdings of only 5 hectares spread over 15 parcels, the wines are very scarce.
