About the winemaker
Poggio Argentiera is beautifully situated in the heart of the Morellino di Scansano area, near the village of Albarese in Maremma. The winery has a total of 20 hectares of vineyards and has been working according to the rules of organic viticulture since 2009 and is therefore certified. Recently the house was taken over by Az. Agr. Tua Rita and since the 2014 harvest the same team as at Tua Rita is responsible for the vinification.

| Vineyard | The vineyards of Poggio Argentiera are located almost at sea level and are therefore not very high. The soil near Albarese consists mainly of sand and loam. In the part near Baccinello, the soil is rich in calcareous clay and we also find many rocks in the soil. |

| Vinification | Approximately 1.3 to 1.5 kilograms of grapes are harvested per vine and a 10-day cold maceration follows the harvest. After this follows a vinification on stainless steel. |
