About the winemaker
Château de Plaisance has been owned by the Rochais family until 2019. In this year it was Vanessa Cherruau who took over the domain with her team and continued on the road set by the Rochais family. From 1995 they worked organically and from 2008 even fully biodynamically. There is a total of 25 hectares of vineyard, of which 20 hectares are planted with chenin blanc. In the vineyard, the vines are "listened" carefully and biodiversity is encouraged. The approach in the cellar is the same, little to no intervention and no use of additives, only small amounts of sulphite.
