A.A. Badenhorst Family WinesChenin Blanc dominated blend from the Paardeberg. Aromatic, layered nose with spices, tea, stone fruit and citrus blossoms. Mouth-filling, stone fruit, lots of ripeness, with a complex flavour profile, minerality, soft tannins and incredible length.
Delicious with grilled sardines, salad with green asparagus, vegetarian quiches and young to slightly ripened goat cheese.
The final composition of the blend varies slightly each year due to the variation in vintages.

About the winemaker
A.A. Badenhorst Family Wines is the farm of Adi and his cousin Hein on the Paardeberg in Swartland South Africa. Adi is one of the most talked about winemakers of this area and, together with Eben Sadie, is seen as the pioneers of this popular wine region in South Africa. It was they who put this region on the map with wines from old vineyards and of a uniquely high level. Adi now cultivates a large area of vineyards and only the best vineyards are used for the famous Single-Vineyard wines. He works in the vineyards and cellar in a "baie-logical" way with respect for grape, nature and terroir.

| Vineyard | Small plots of selected fruit from several old vineyards on the Kalmoesfontein farm and the surrounding Paardeberg. A small percentage of the grapes are picked little earlier to maintain natural fresh acidity. |

| Vinification | After cooling, the fruit is assembled and pressed into whole bunches. Fermentation and maturation in a 1200L foudre and a 3000L foudre. After 10 months, the wines are blended and aged in a single concrete tank on the lees and aged for a further 6 - 8 months before bottling. |
