About the winemaker
Marie-Pierre Manciat is currently in charge at the estate that was founded by her parents. Her father's family owned the vineyards in appellation Macon and her mother's family owned the vineyards in appellation Pouilly Fuissé. Today the estate owns about 12 hectares of vineyards and Marie-Pierre's philosophy is that the wines are made in the vineyard. Thus, a lot of attention is paid to the vineyards and the vines.

Details
| Vineyard | The vineyards of Marie-Pierre Manciat have a soil with a lot of calcareous clay and the vines are on average 45 years old. There are 7000 vines per hectare, giving a good planting density. By means of a green harvest, if necessary, the yield is limited. Efforts are made to harvest at a potential alcohol content not exceeding 13%. |
|---|---|
| Vinification | After harvest, the grapes are pressed immediately and the débourbage takes about 24 hours. No yeasts are added for alcoholic fermentation. If it is necessary to filter before bottling, this is done with bentonite. |
| Oak aging | No |
| Ageing potential | up to 5 years after harvest |
| Alcohol percentage | 13% |
| Closure | Natural cork |
