Champagne Leclaire-ThiefaineStructured and lively fine champagne from exclusively chardonnay. The base of the wine is supplemented with 17% reserve wine (Grand Cru). Notes of white fruit and citrus, floral and refreshing, refined mousse and notes of dried fruit in the mouth, salty minerality and a long refined finish. Excellent aperitif wine.

About the winemaker
Domaine Leclaire-Thiéfaine is spearheaded by sixth-generation winemaker Constantin Leclaire, a Champagne native passionate for regional viticultural tradition. After graduating high school, Constantin traveled to Chile and South Africa where he deepened his knowledge at various wineries, before returning to France to manage the family estate. Constantin works the vineyards as purely as possible, the use of pesticides is out of the question. Respect and preservation of the soil, the surrounding life and the identity of the different plots results in the purest reflection of the Avize terroir, known as one of the most prestigious Cru’s within the Côtes des Blancs.

This is followed by a second fermentation and a bottle maturation of at least 2 years under natural cork instead of crown cork. This old method ensures a slow oxidation and more developed aromas.. Disgorgement is followed by a dosage of 4 gr/liter (extra brut). |
