Bouchard Père et Fils | France | Bourgogne - Côte de Beaune |
Vineyard | Bouchard Père & Fils is the main landowner on this famous Grand Cru just above Le Montrachet. During the 19th century, the house managed to buy vineyards on the 4 different terroirs of this Grand Cru. The soil is rich in limestone and marl. The total surface of this Grand Cru is 7.59 hectares and Bouchard owns 2.33 hectares. This specific wine comes from a piece of vineyard that previously belonged to the Montrachet appellation. |

Vinification | The harvest is manual and in 13 kilo crates. There is a soft pressing that takes up to 2 hours. This is followed by fermentation, for 12 to 13 months, in 225 liter oak barrels of which 15% are new. The wines are blended and then remain in stainless steel for 3-4 months. |
