About the winemaker
This domain has one of the most modest winemakers in the village of Meursault. The son of Yves Boyer, Vincent, currently vinifies the wines. Vincent has access to remarkable vineyards in Meursault such as L'Ormeau, Les Tillets, Les Narvaux, Les Genevrières and Charmes. His wines are all textbook examples of the class, which the chardonnay grape can achieve in the Côte de Beaune. They are wines that can be kept for a very long time, but are also pleasant to drink when young.

| Vineyard | Auxey-Duresses is the village behind Meursault and Monthélie. If you drive from Monthélie towards Auxey then on the left is the vineyard Les Ecusseaux. This vineyard is rich in limestone rock and on this soil is planted mainly pinot noir. |

| Vinification | At Boyer-Martenot, all grapes are hand-picked and, upon receipt in the cellar, pressed with a pneumatic press. Fermentation is temperature controlled and the upbringing is on 225-liter wooden casks and on concrete eggs. One third of these barrels are new and in total there is a 20 month lagering period. Once a week there is batonnage. |
