About the winemaker
A.A. Badenhorst Family Wines is the farm of Adi and his cousin Hein on the Paardeberg in Swartland South Africa. Adi is one of the most talked about winemakers of this area and, together with Eben Sadie, is seen as the pioneers of this popular wine region in South Africa. It was they who put this region on the map with wines from old vineyards and of a uniquely high level. Adi now cultivates a large area of vineyards and only the best vineyards are used for the famous Single-Vineyard wines. He works in the vineyards and cellar in a "baie-logical" way with respect for grape, nature and terroir.
